Archival workshop to teach participants how to take care of family and organizational materials. Topics will include techniques to organize and preserve papers and photos, electronic information and digital photos. The workshop will also touch on preserving furniture, quilts, ceramics and how to conduct oral history projects. Box lunch and materials included in registration cost. Lecturers: Wayne Coleman (Head of Archives, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute) and Rebecca Hankins (Assistant Professor and Archivist, Texas A&M University).
